The process begins...















OK this to start the next project, this one might take awhile longer than Easy Tasks which was designed and programmed to get an understanding of Access 2010. Now for a bigger challenge, this time an extremely easy to use Helpdesk program.

After spending the past month learning all the new and wonderful features of Microsoft Access 2010 we have now just completed our first application. Called Easy Tasks, it is a easy to use To Do List (task manager).

Featuring an extremely easy to use interface, Easy Tasks has the ability to track tasks, with categories (or without) and priorities. You can print out a summary of all tasks or a more detailed task report, you can even email a task.

The beta release can be downloaded from Alphaworks home site.

Access 2010...













I've been writing Access based applications since version 1; I can still remember loading in all those 3.5" floppies one after one for what seemed to be forever.

Now most of my applications have been written for projects that I have been involved in during my day job. They have been used by dozens of users and reporting analyst.

So this entry kicks off my new undertaking for creating an Access based application for managing issues, something along the lines of a basic helpdesk.
